Tekla was one of our participating projects at the Google Summer of Code 2010. The work plan came out of the top two proposals:
During the summit, we got a chance to introduce world-class hackers to cutting-edge accessibility concepts during a couple of sessions:
- Touch-free access to mobile phones
- Indoor Positioning
Thanks to UofT students Eric Wan and Zongyi Yang, we ended up having a pretty successful rookie year in the Google Summer of Code. We even got great coverage from a few high traffic sites, which boosted interest and participation from a few groups around the world interested in accessibility.
